Enhanced Support for Hierarchical Edit-in-Place in CLE (Virtuoso Layout Suite EXL)Supports hierarchical editing in the CLE flow to allow multiple designers to concurrently Edit In Place (EIP) in hierarchical subcells. The partitions defined at the top are reinforced (propagated) across hierarchical subcells to retain the same scope of edit.
Displaying Virtual Hierarchy Object in Palette (Virtuoso Layout Suite EXL)Use the Objects panel on the Palette assistant to edit hierarchical object properties.
Virtual Hierarchy Area Estimation using SKILL (Virtuoso Layout Suite EXL)Register a user-defined SKILL function on the Add Area Estimators form in Virtuoso Layout EXL to control the area enclosed by a top-level PR boundary or a virtual hierarchy block.
Extracting S-Parameter Models from Full Cellviews (Virtuoso RF Solution) Easily extract an s-parameter (sparam) cellview using the Clarity or AXIEM 3D solvers from an entire layout cellview. Ports are automatically created at the top-level pins of the cellview.
Creating Extracted Views From Smart Views (Virtuoso RF Solution) Use Quantus QRC-based smart views to create extracted views after EM simulation in the Virtuoso RF Solution. Advantages include:- Combines the capacity and accuracy of Quantus QRC with the full 3D s-parameter models from the Clarity and AXIEM 3D solvers.- Better usability, improved functionality, and the same integration with Virtuoso and Virtuoso ADE platforms.

Faster Verilog Import (Virtuoso Design Environment)Import large Verilog netlists designs faster in the Virtuoso Design Environment using the cdsTextTo5x command. Includes an additional command-line option -BLACKBOX to control whether the hierarchy of a cell is imported.
Copying Run Plans from one Cellview to Another Cellview (Virtuoso ADE Assembler)Copy run plans from one cellview to another cellview in Virtuoso ADE Assembler using the Run Plan check box on the Load Setup State or Import Setup forms.
Local Corners in Run Plans (Virtuoso ADE Assembler) Use the Convert to Local Corner command in Virtuoso ADE Assembler to change the behavior of corners that have been copied from active setups to run plans. The default behavior is that corners synchronize with the active setup to reflect any change. By converting a corner to a ‘local corner’ any changes made to the source corner are not reflected in the local corners of the run plan.
Distributing Simulation Jobs (Virtuoso ADE Explorer and ADE Assembler) Control thousands of netlisting and simulation jobs in parallel using the job control mode, LSCS (Large-Scale Cloud Simulations) in Virtuoso ADE Explorer and ADE Assembler. LSCS implements a new architecture to run simulations with better resource utilization. It also enables future scalability requirements for cloud simulations.
Plotting Expression-Related Signals from the Results Tab (Virtuoso ADE Explorer and ADE Assembler)Use the context menu command Plot Associated Signals on the Results tab to directly plot all the signals used in an expression in Virtuoso ADE Explorer and ADE Assembler.
Calculating Eye Measurements using PAM4 (Virtuoso Visualization and Analysis XL)Choose between two modulation schemes to calculate eye measurements on the Eye Measurements tab of the Eye Diagram assistant; either the default Non-Return-to-Zero (NRZ) scheme or the Pulse-Amplitude Modulation 4-Level (PAM4) scheme.
