Training Insights Accelerated Learning – The More You Know, the Faster You Go

Would you like to learn Cadence technical content in the fastest, most effective way?

Cadence Training introduces a new online training option called accelerated learning.

When launching an online course with the accelerated option, take a pre-quiz to test your existing knowledge on the topic. Based on your pre-quiz results, you can skip content you already know and reach your training goal faster!

Accelerated learning is currently available for courses on Static Timing, Low-Power Specifications, Allegro, OrCADX, Quantus, Spectre, Virtuoso, and Xcelium.

The first online courses released with the accelerated learning option are: 

Accelerated Learning courses are marked with this symbol  in our Learning Maps.

As with any other Cadence Online Training course, all you need to get started is a Cadence Learning and Support account.

Take a tour with the OrCAD X Capture Constraint Manager PCB Flow training as an example.

Click on the link above.

Choose “Online Courses” and then select the latest version.

Start the training using the “Start Content” button.

You can now choose between The full learning path or the accelerated learning path, which includes the pre-quiz.

The pre-quiz lets you test your previous knowledge on the topic and skip the content you already know.

With the pre-quiz, you will see a series of questions that you can answer and submit. Or—if you don´t know the answer—you have the option to skip them. Skipping them will be considered a wrong answer.

After finishing the pre-quiz, you will see your results along with the learning time you can save if you choose the accelerated path.

By clicking the “Accelerated Learning” button at the bottom of the "Pre-Quiz Results" box, you will be directed to your remaining learning content.

Check out the video status menu for some great info! You'll see three awesome icons. The biker icon represents your equivalent previous knowledge from the pre-quiz. The magnifying glass icon means it's time to watch the video to wrap up the topic, and the green tick mark shows that you've finished watching.

Also, did you know that you have the flexibility to switch between biker and hiker modes using the toggle button at the top left? You can easily track your course progress based on the mode you've selected. It's a great feature that gives you more control over your learning experience!
