5 Reasons to Submit an Abstract for CDNLive India

Call for Presentations (CFP) for CDNLive India is now open!

While this is something that I get excited about every year, I thought it would be a good idea to highlight some of the reasons why you should be excited too.

1. Be seen as an expert

CDNLive India is probably the biggest out of all the CDNLive conferences worldwide in terms of number of attendees. So you will get a chance to talk about your work to a huge community of your peers. You may not think you are an expert, but you’d be surprised how much your peers can learn from you. And there’s no better way to give back to the industry than by sharing your knowledge.

2. The pride of seeing your work showcased

Thanks to its rigorous paper evaluation process, CDNLive is one of the industry’s premier conferences. It has a reputation for highly technical content, and that’s why so many people attend. Each abstract goes through an evaluation committee comprising distinguished customer experts – veterans of the industry – and senior technical experts from Cadence. This ensures that only the best abstracts get selected. So if your abstract is one of them, it’s a matter of pride.

3. Your work will live on for years

Presentations made at CDNLive are archived on cadence.com under “CDNLive Proceedings” for several years. Currently, there are presentations made way back at CDNLive India 2012 that are still accessible to customers and users. Your work is not forgotten once the conference is over. It lives on. In fact, I often get requests for presentations from several years ago. So you can make a lasting contribution to the industry’s body of knowledge.

4. Get a chance to win the Best Presentation Award

In each of the tracks, we have experts from our customer base and from Cadence who evaluate each presentation. At the end of the conference, these experts confer and select one presentation that stands out as the Best Presentation; one that demonstrates a design, methodology or tool usage that is truly unique. Each of the authors of the Best Presentation Award get a plaque and memento.

5. Get a cool speaker gift

If you are an author or co-author of a selected abstract, you will be given a cool speaker gift as a token of appreciation from Cadence! You will also be given a framed certificate that you can display with pride on your desk.
