Accessing Doctype Definitions in the Cadence Learning and Support Portal – pt 1

15 Aug 2024 • 4 minute read

As you may have already seen, we have recently published various blog posts about our Cadence Learning and Support Portal. You can search there with keywords to find detailed scenario descriptions.

You may also have had the opportunity to attend our webinar, Leveraging Cadence Support to Your Maximum Advantage. If you missed it, don't worry, you can watch the recording. Among other things, we demonstrated various ways to navigate and search within the Cadence Learning and Support Portal.

Today we will introduce you to individual collaterals and explain how they can best be used.

Collateral Explained Briefly and Concisely

You can see all currently available content by clicking on the images below on our landing page.

Our thousands of videos are perfect for demonstrating new tool features step by step, where it might be much more complicated to describe the process with written instructions. You can also access our Video Library through the Resources menu:

There is also a separate Category for our Training Bytes available within the Video Library (content related to our Cadence Trainings). The Cadence Training Bytes Library is full of hundreds of troubleshooting videos, covering a multitude of topics, and is always open to you.

Training Bytes are short, instructional videos that provide unlimited self-learning opportunities, available on Cadence Learning and Support. They’re designed to teach a language, element, or methodology, how to perform a task, or how to troubleshoot a problem. So, you can find solutions quickly. If you would like to navigate to our training bytes directly, click on “Learning” and “Training Bytes” on the landing page.

You will have several filter options there. Learn more in these blog posts:

You find all product documentation, user guides, and reference guides written by our technical communication Team under this category. You can search by clicking on a certain platform or enter your criteria into the “Search Product Manuals” field at the top of the page.

You can find our free Online Training Course Library by clicking on the button above. This ensures you get the training you need at times that are convenient for you. Online Training is delivered over the web—letting you proceed at your own pace—anytime, anywhere.

Your personalized course overview is available in the left taskbar with several filter options to find exactly what you are looking for.

You can also download the Lab and Lecture Material there. All you need is a Cadence Online Support Account and the respective licenses, find more details in this Blog.

The troubleshooting information is content that describes or isolates symptoms of undesired or unexpected behavior, failure, or a crash from Cadence products. These are mostly short articles that list causes and possible solutions to help you take corrective action to prevent further similar failures and save a lot of time!

As always, you can filter by platform and products or enter keywords in the search field, and by clicking on the symbol, you can see a preview of the individual articles.

These documents explain new tool capabilities and introductory features. They are normally a part of most Cadence product releases, Update Trainings, and Technical Roll Outs (TROs). But that is by far not all – we will show you more collateral in our next blog. Stay tuned!
