Everyday modeling feels smoother and more direct. A new search capability lets users quickly locate menus, buttons, toolbar items, ribbon commands, and dialog functions across Adams View and Adams Car. Fresh docking options keep the Command Window, Message Window, and Database Navigator neatly arranged. Role management is simpler too, with missing roles detected and added automatically when a model opens. Quick access to recent files, refined menus, and automatic event-file saving for every simulation run trim repetitive steps and help engineers stay focused on the work in front of them.

Gain Deeper Insight from Your Results

A reimagined postprocessing environment shortens the path to understanding. Adams PostProcessor now makes it simpler to configure, save, and restore preferences across sessions. Redesigned signal processing opens up clearer access to FFT parameters, windowing, averaging, and frequency-domain calculations, alongside new tools for coherence and time-delay analysis. GPU-accelerated stress and strain recovery cuts result-loading time dramatically, with gains of 2x–4x in typical cases and up to 42x in select scenarios. The new animation+ (Beta) rendering environment, powered by a physically based rendering (PBR) engine, brings reflections, cutting planes, and heightened visual realism to more compelling result visualizations.

Optimize Solver Performance with Greater Confidence

Quicker iteration begins with smarter solver decisions. The new solver settings tuner automatically builds a solver settings workspace where engineers can compare, evaluate, and update solver parameters against their preferred balance of speed, accuracy, and overall solution quality. Detailed results and performance metrics export to Excel for deeper analysis and reporting, applying a systematic, DOE-based approach to solver optimization that helps pinpoint the right balance for your objectives.

Generate More Realistic Flexible-Body Contact Results

Greater fidelity supports bolder, faster innovation. New flex body contact softening counteracts artificial stiffening when contact spreads across many nodes, applying softening factors to contact stiffness and damping. Paired with clearer guidance for selecting contact properties based on material and geometry, the feature supports Impact-based 3D flex-rigid and flex-flex contact with all friction models, producing smoother, more realistic contact behavior and truer simulation results.

Expanded Linux Support

Contemporary engineering workflows demand platform flexibility. Linux support now reaches beyond the solver, letting users run the Adams GUI natively on Ubuntu. Engineers can handle both model creation and simulation execution within a single Linux environment, opening up more freedom for Linux-based workflows and easing deployment across enterprise computing infrastructures.
