BETA CAE Team Announces v25.1 HF6 Software Release

8 Oct 2026 • 2 minute read

About this Release

We officially announce the last bug-fix release of the v25.1.x series for ANSA Advanced CAE Pre-Processor, EPILYSIS FEA Solver, META Post-Processor, and KOMVOS SDM Console, with critical bug fixes.

Follows an overview of the most important items:

Known Issues Resolved in ANSA
Known Issues Resolved in META

Known Issues Resolved in ANSA

GUI

Unexpected termination would occur when using the "[STRIKEOUT:>" syntax to get the id of a material used in a material reference field in a PART_COMPOSITE property list (i.e. MID1]>MID).

Focusing on visibility, the "Near" function could return inconsistent results when searching around CURVE entities, causing nearby geometry faces or shell mesh that were within the specified search radius to remain hidden.

Model Browser

Abrupt software abortion would take place when editing entity color from Database Browser lists.

Middle Meshing

Middle faces would occasionally not be created in areas with variable thickness.

Connections & Assembly

After executing "Erase FE" of a SPIDER2 connection realized on the "Top Area" of a stamp feature, the elements filling the hole would be added to the "Rest Area" of the stamp feature, causing a subsequent Realize action to fail.

NX Nastran

Empty continuation line upon output would lead to Fatal Error when running NX Nastran.

Abaqus

Under Clearance Tabular Data, Calculation of Bolt Axis provided by Set, was not performed properly.

LS-DYNA

During creation of "DEFORMABLE_TO_RIGID: Rigid: PART", it was not possible to select a part.

Box Morphing

Boxes with loaded Steady Section Morphing Constraints, would fail to perform morphing correctly.

Optistruct

During output, ANSA would falsely write blank stiffness (K) values in the produced *.fem file for PBUSH properties, leading to errors during FE Analysis.

Known Issues Resolved in META

Abaqus

Assembly set loading would be incorrect for *.odb files containing instances.

LS-DYNA

Results on transformed Includes were not displayed correctly on the corresponding transformed geometry.

Read Results

When loading a curve from a column ASCII format file using the "Bar Plot from Column" or "Bar Plot from Row" format options on 2D plots, when plotting results from a *.res file, the values of the modal coordinates Q of the flexible body could be displayed significantly higher than expected.

Managing Curve Data

META would terminate unexpectedly in cases of binout files with rbdout section.

Report

Focusing on Spreadsheet Editor, extending LOG10 function to several cells led to corruption of the function. The same corrupted behavior was noticed while loading XLSX spreadsheet with extended LOG10 formulas.

Known Issues Resolved in KOMVOS

Configuration - GUI

SPDRM action applied in ANSA would not be available in the context menu of parts, although it was configured properly in the dm_profiles.xml.
