Please, please, please follow the instructions fully when installing. They are at the top of the Skill file and also here:
Download and install the precompiled potrace release suitable for your platform: http://potrace.sourceforge.net/download set the POTRACE_PATH environment variable to the path to the executable eg. C:\utils\potrace Download and install the precompiled ImageMagick release suitable for your platform This may not be necessary if you use Linux as ImageMagick is often included in Linux installations: http://www.imagemagick.org/script/binary-releases.php eg. http://www.imagemagick.org/download/binaries/ImageMagick-6.5.3-Q16-windows.zip If the path to the ImageMagick convert.exe file is not in your system path then set the MAGICK_HOME environment variable to the path to the convert executable. (Run "convert -version" in a system shell to test). eg. C:\utils\ImageMagick\ImageMagick-6.5.1-3 Install logoMaker_public.il into your skill folder. Add load("logoMaker_public.il") to the allegro.ilinit file in your pcbenv folder.

See the attached image for an example.
You attached the "IL" file directly, it needs to be a zip to be downloadable from the forum - users get a "page not found" otherwise!
In reply to oldmouldy:
Oops. Here it is.
In reply to eDave:
Dave, I have installed new logomaker version and unzipped and saved the imagemagick files in a folder. But instead of logomaker window a Plugin options window appears. Attached the screen shot. Please help.
Here is the logomaker file in which i have changed the path. Please verify whether it is correct.
In reply to C Shiva:
It also happened to me. I restart windows XP and then it runs perfectly. I want to thank to Dave for this Logomaker.
In reply to ahmetozsoy:
Ahmet, I tried as you informed. Still same problem. Any help?
I briefly track Dave's orders that's all. I didn't change the skill file. Only set the paths so that Windows understand where they are.
In environment variables I set the variables as Dave describes. Maybe Dave helps better.
Ahmet's correct - please don't alter the code. Instead ensure that the plugins are correctly installed and your environment variables are set correctly. You don't need to re-boot your system after altering the environment variables (in Windows) but you will need to restart Allegro.
Thanks Dave. It works fine. But when i trying to load mono image with enabling Pre-process option it shows:
potrace failure===============The potrace utility failed to convert this image to svg.
With disabling Pre-process option the logo will load. And when i trying to load color images the above error appears. Please help.
Not every image will convert easily. You may need to fiddle with the parameters or re-save the image using an external bitmap editor such as MS paint. Please send me any image that you still have trouble with and I will suggest some settings.
Dave, attached one of image file which i have tried to load. It was loading when i tried in monochrome format without enabling the "Pre-process" option. But when i enable the option the error mentioned in last post will appears. What can i do now? Please post the processed image in zip format only.
Try removing the High pass filtering. See the attached image for my settings and the resultant logo.
Just a caution...
Be careful with Logos like this one. Your fabricator might not be happy to see very thin areas in silkscreen shapes.
Thanks Dave for your kind help.
