Footprint Viewer Not Present / Missing in OrCAD Capture 17.2

The footprint viewer functionality appears to be missing in OrCAD Capture 17.2.  Can anyone else confirm and/or suggest a fix?

Footprint viewer is indeed missing and so is the PartLink powered by DigiKey add-on. PartLink loads but spews a pile of errors on startup and does not appear in the RMB options. My local support says it is related to the change to 64 bit and is a known bug.

I have attached a tcl app that will show the PCB Footprint using the Allegro_Free_Viewer exe which is available to all. Simply put this tcl file into your %HOME%\cdssetup\OrCAD_Capture\17.2.0\tclscripts\capAutoLoad directory. It stil uses the PCB Footprint locations specified in the capture.ini file. Once there restart Capture, select a part and choose Right Click - More - View FootprintcapFootprintViewer.zip

    STEVE IS GOD.

Thanks man, good stuff. Not as useful as the one from 16.6 but still good enough.

It's been 8 months and 17.2-2016-S017, (the latest version as of this writing), still does not include footprint viewer within Capture.  The TCL script, posted above, is functional, but lacks the nice features of the old integrated footprint viewer (ability to rotate the footprint, ability to see signal names on the pad stacks, etc.).  What's going on?
