PCB Editor 16.2 How to change the board outline thickness?

Hi,

Should be easy, but I can not find the menu.

The board outline was done with shape\add rectangle.

Thanks,

LISTING: 1 element(s)

             < SHAPE >

       class         BOARD GEOMETRY
       subclass      OUTLINE
  Area:  73.16000  (sq in)

  Shape is unfilled

Exterior boundary:
  segment:xy (8.4000 15.3000) xy (8.4000 9.1000) width (0.0000)
  segment:xy (8.4000 9.1000) xy (20.2000 9.1000) width (0.0000)
  segment:xy (20.2000 9.1000) xy (20.2000 15.3000) width (0.0000)
  segment:xy (20.2000 15.3000) xy (8.4000 15.3000) width (0.0000)

Can't be done directly.  From what I've seen, border width on a shape can only be adjusted on filled shapes that are cross-hatched.

However, you can decompose the shape (or redraw it using the add line command), then you can adjust the line width using the Edit->Change menu with the necessary Find and Options settings.

Note:  If the reason you want to do this is for artwork visibility, you can use the Undefined Line Width setting on the Film Control tab of the Artwork Control Form.

    Thanks Randy,

I knew about the second option.

Redrawing can be time consuming on complex board outlines.

A .dxf imported file,as I see, was imported as LINE. Thickness can be changed in this case.

I did not succeed to DECOMPOSE a SHAPE or a RECTANGLE drawn on the board geometry\outline subclass. Maybe I did not find the right sequence of strokes.

Good question if I need to see the board outline with a thickness. Used to do this in Orcad Layout, for some reasons.

But, in PCB Editor, I do not think I need it. And if I need it draw it as LINE.
