Please, please, please follow the instructions fully when installing. They are at the top of the Skill file and also here:

Download and install the precompiled potrace release suitable for your platform:
  http://potrace.sourceforge.net/download
set the POTRACE_PATH environment variable to the path to the executable
  eg. C:\utils\potrace

Download and install the precompiled ImageMagick release suitable for your platform
This may not be necessary if you use Linux as ImageMagick is often included in Linux installations:
  http://www.imagemagick.org/script/binary-releases.php
  eg. http://www.imagemagick.org/download/binaries/ImageMagick-6.5.3-Q16-windows.zip
If the path to the ImageMagick convert.exe file is not in your system path then set the MAGICK_HOME
environment variable to the path to the convert executable. (Run "convert -version" in a system shell to test).
  eg. C:\utils\ImageMagick\ImageMagick-6.5.1-3

Install logoMaker_public.il into your skill folder.
Add load("logoMaker_public.il") to the allegro.ilinit file in your pcbenv folder.

Happy logoing,

Dave

There could be a number of things wrong. You should check that you followed all the installation instructions.

I just installed.. and everything seems to be working..  except I don't see any preview?  Should I be able to?

I can hit the place logo and it places ok..  There just isn't a preview in the logomaker form...

Recent versions of ImageMagick don't work as well as earlier ones for some reason.

    Hello,

I have installed logomaker and it opens when I use the 'logomaker' command in OrCAD, I am even able to place a logo into the board environment.  The problem I am having is that there is no preview image display in the logomaker dialogue screen.  Without this preview it is virtually impossible to fine tune the logo image conversion so that it looks correct.

Does anyone know why the preview window might not be working and how to fix it?  Thanks!

The preview depends on makebitmap and ImageMagick doing their jobs and creating temporary files that Allegro can use to display the preview. Several temporary files should be placed in your working folder while the utility is running. There may be a reason that these cannot be created.
