displaying units on PCB-16.2

 hi,

Is there any way to display the units of the measurement on the board.

Also board dimension is diplayed only w.r.t inches, how can i see the dimension for different units...i tried changing the units in DESIGN PARAMETERS but no changes.

    Hopefully you've got it figured out by now.  Dimensioning can be done in any units.... See attached image

     Hi Redwire,

    Thnx for the reply..i could change the units according my req. n see the reults...but iam unable to display the units on the board..is there any settings to follow.

    Hmmm...since my answer was as complete as I know measurements I'm not sure I can help further without you attaching a screenshot or board and indicating the problem.  Units are displayed per the two methods I posted.  One is for dimensioning -- the other for layout.  The two are not coupled.

     Hi MAAC,

     Are you saying you want the text when dimensioning a PCB to read "12.030 IN", for example, instead of just "12.030"?

    If so, I don't know how to do that. The title block usually specifies the units so the dimensions themselves only need numbers. I played around with it and I don't see an obvious option nor can I discover it by playing around with the settings in the Manufacture > Dimension/Draft menu.

    If you can't currently do it in Allegro, you could contact Cadence to submit a CCR. Or perhaps you could add a text note which specifies the units either for the entire drawing or (yikes!) on a dimension-by-dimension basis?
