Importing .dxf into Allegro 16.2

 All,

I'm trying to import a .dxf file into Allegro 16.2. I've never had to do this before so i'm having some difficulty. What do I have to set up before importing the .dxf? My attempt was to create a new project and put an outline in. I then imported the .dxf and the viewlog says I successfully imported  the file but I don't see anything. Viewlog says a .tmp was created but I can't find that either. Any help in pointing me in the right diirection will be great.

Yes in AutoCAD. Do have a way to edit the dxf? Does the drawing only contain the board outline? Most of the drawings I receive have other things like keep outs, dimensions and etc. Those things don't always import correctly without some manipulation.

Uh -oh! Can you get the person who sent it to you to modify it? You could post here on the forum  and I will see if I can do it.
