Importing .dxf into Allegro 16.2

 All,

I'm trying to import a .dxf file into Allegro 16.2. I've never had to do this before so i'm having some difficulty. What do I have to set up before importing the .dxf? My attempt was to create a new project and put an outline in. I then imported the .dxf and the viewlog says I successfully imported  the file but I don't see anything. Viewlog says a .tmp was created but I can't find that either. Any help in pointing me in the right diirection will be great.

     No problem. I wound up selecting all layers and giving all the same attribute BOARD GEOMETRY->OUTLINE. File came in on proper layer and it turns out there is nothing on the other layers.

     You can use the free eDrawings Viewer to check out DXF files before importing into Allegro. Not so great IMO, but it gets the job done when I have to use it.
