Board Outline - Importing DXF File

I am a new user of OrCAD and PCB Editor.

I have my board outline in a .dxf file but I cannot figure out how to import the file into PCB Editor.  Currently I am using NEW-->Mechanical symbol.  My active class is board geometry and i am on the outline layer.  I click on import .dxf and a window appears.  This window asks various things and also asks for layer conversion file at the bottom.  I am not sure what needs to be placed here.  The import and viewlog buttons are inactive, so apparently I have something incorrect.

Can someone please point me in the right direction??

 Thanks

Thank you for the comment, although I still do not understand.  I apologize for my ignorance with this.

The other thread that you linked me to describes a procedure that I don't see in my window.   Apparently the other post is taking into account a successful import of the .dxf file.

Like I said above, I have clicked on new, then mechanical drawing.  I now have clicked on file import dxf.  I get a pop up screen called DXF In.  I read the help documents that you suggested prior to posting the question here.  It did not help me much because I do not understand what the layer conversion file is.  The help document doesn't explain it in enough "layman's term" for me to understand it.

Could you elaborate just a tad more so I can figure out what is going wrong?  I really appreciate your help.

    Thanks

I apologize for my lack of understanding in my previous post.  I re-read your post and things make sense and seem to be working now.

    Thank you very much

    One more question...

How can I make sure the line thickness is not 0.000?  I know that I have read where a thickness of 0 would create problems for the pcb mfgr.

    Thanks

    Wilson

    No need to apologize

I think you want to make sure that there is no '0 line width' on the manufacturing ouputs

for that you have setup the 'undefined line width' value on the 'Artwork Control Form', But you have to do this each film that you are generating

    regards

    Venkata
