Can someone point me to (or provide) where I can find the definitions of the sublasses used in PCB editor?

Thanks,
Mike

The pre-defined classes and sub-classes are listed in "About Classes and Subclasses", page 112 of the algrostart.pdf, in the doc\algrostart directory of the installation. In general, the Classes and Subclasses are used to define design objects for later grouping for output, like "all the Soldermask_Top" objects got to a "SolderMask_Top" Gerber film, and so on. The Areas are used to restrict the placement of design objects, like Place and Route Keepins and Keepouts, restrict Placement and Routing respectively. If you take a look at a PCB fabricator site, you will get an idea of the data required for PCB manufacture and see how the PCB Editor Classes and Subclasses would be grouped to create the required data.
