Different axes orientation in symbol and PCB Editors

Hossein1357

Hi all,

I am designing a symbol for 0402 components. I define (28mil,22mil) as (Width,Height) sizes in pad designer and every thing looks correct in my package Designer - as is seen in below link:

drive.google.com/.../edit

Unfortunately, as far as I load footprint into my PCB or update it with this symbol I see that (X,Y) axes are changed and footprint pads seem to be rotated. Below link shows what they look in PCB Editor:

drive.google.com/.../edit

What's wrong with my settings? Could anybody help on this issue?

Thanks in advance,

Hossien

This could be related to the fact that you already have a pad using the same name that is in a different orientation so check your padpath folder to see the filename.pad. If you have an identical named pad with different dimensions try renaming that to something else. The alternative is that you maybe need to get the latest hotfix from Cadence / Channel Partner and then try again.
