Find missing SilkScreen RefDes on board design

Hi,

Is anyone knows how to find a missing REFDES on silkscreen or assembly layer? Is there a skill code to do that?

From time to time I find a few part on the design missing REFDES, probably they got deleted by accident and I didn't even know about it. It takes a lot of time to check each part on the board. If there are a better way to do this, please do tell.

Thank in advance.

Regard,

TiBo

    Hi Dave,

Just think about this, since we have the skill code for missing refdes, is there a way we can detect  the refdes orientation? when I have a very dense board, I have to find all refdes and rotate them to the right orientation, it would be nice if we can set the orientation like from Left to Right and Bottom to Top then the skill can find out those that are not in one of those orientation.

    Thanks,

    Regards,

    TiBo

It sounds like you need my AutosilkUtils utility.1307.AutosilkUtils_public.12.30.cxt.zip

    See attached (16.6).

    Hi Dave,

Just wonder if there is the way to detect and report the orientation of the refdes, if I set the refdes orientation as Left to Right and Top to Bottom for both top and bottom layer, I wish to have something that find the location of all refdes that are not follow the rule.

    Thanks,

    Regards,

    TiBo
