Why some components properties in Yellow?!!

hi,

When I try to edit some selected parts in OrCAD to modify their properties I see that it is highlighted and its yellow?!!! Sometimes this makes modification so hard because some properties don't change at first try.

Thanks in advance,

Hossein

The design is in "Occurrences" Mode (complex hierarchy), the "yellow" properties are the Occurrences properties and the active properties for the design, where the Property values are all the same the columns, in this case, may not be expanded - in this case you can see that the Instances Reference and Occurrences Reference Property values are different. In Occurrences Mode, Edit>Property should be used to make changes to Property values.

    Hi,
Thanks for the answer. There are number of questions that occurred to my mind and I am wondering that what the use of such mode is? And, how I can get out of this?
    mode?

    Thanks,
    Hossein

    Hi,

I have strange problem and I have no clue when and how it happened. In Capture component have reference designator C199, in PCB it is also C199 same at PnP export file. But in BOM exported from Capture it is marked with C198. This happened to only little percentage of all components on board.

Do anyone have idea how this happened and how to fix that?
