Thanks,

Yes, 17.2 Capture DSN files can be opened with 16.6 Capture. I only don't know if specific 17.2 settings (like new hierarchical annotation settings) are lost when opening and saving the DSN in 16.6.

Our company is considering to move from Orcad Capture 16.6(hotfix 048) to 17.2(hotfix 031). Seems like one can open 17.2 designs in 16.6, but I wonder if there could be some pitfalls when doing this? Is it 100% safe to move between these two versions?

    We are using CIS database.

Does someone know about any major bugs/flaws that were introduced with 17.2 and not yet has been fixed? In other words, is there a risk of moving from 16.6 to 17.2? ;)

My questions are only related to Orcad schematic design(Orcad Capture), not layout.

    Thanks!
