search providers not working

Hi Since I download and installed service pack S007 in orcad 17.4-2019 i cant get the search providers to work 

after a while this error message pops up

{"errorType":"Service Unavailable","errorCode":"SPDWSRV-000111","errorDescription":"ERROR (SPDWSRV-000111): One or more services are not available because the server is in maintenance mode."}

Has anyone else seen this error.



  • The Pulse Server that looks after this is in Maintenance Mode because it needs an update to be compatible with the latest version of the tools.
     
    With Capture running, go to the Pulse Server icon in the System Tray and right-click>Manage, you will see the Pulse Server with a Notification. If you left-click the Notification, you see the message about needing an update. In the Notification, there is a "spanner", left-click this and get a "are you sure you want to update?" message, "Yes" to that and the Pulse Server will update.
    To be sure that the updated Pulse Server is running, close Capture and use the Pulse Server icon in the System Tray again, right-click and choose Shutdown. Then restart Capture and the Pulse Server will start up again.

    Thanks Steve (i couldnt do what you told me to do) when i bought up the gui for pulse server i found that it couldnt start a service.

    I couldnt find this service so i uninstalled the orcad tools and installed the base release i could see the search providers. I then reinstalled service pack 7 which i have just found out is QIR 1 and i couldnt see the search providers again.

    I originally just installed the orcad tools and not all the high end cadence tools that come with the 8GByte download thinking this was the problem i uninstalled the tools and reinstalled the default cadence setup to install all tools and  then install service pack 7 

    Thankfully it worked so i dont know what went wrong originally but happy days now
