How to copy-paste symbol with footprint, part# etc from one design to another?

Have been using ORCAD capture for a few months now so I am relatively new to ORCAD. The question below may therefore be silly (apologies) but I tried getting a resolution to this Q from another experienced user before putting this here.

I have Project 1 from which I wish to copy a schematic over to Project 2. I find that if this schematic is one of multiple identical occurrences, then in opening one and copying the page or individual symbols to Project 2, information about footprint, part numbers etc. are not copied over. How can I copy over all properties (knowing that RefDes will of course change)?

TIA - Ram

Maybe I am mis-understanding your issue, however the copy and paste of schematic pages from one design to another works perfect for me (ver 16.6).  Shared my screen in the attached pdf.
    Steps:
    Method 1

    1. Create two projects.
    2. Project #1 create schematic file.
    3. Project #1 copy schematic page from project window
    4. Paste copied page into Project #2 Schematic

    Method2
    Two different projects open:
    1. Copy components in first schematic (Cntrl C)
    2. Paste (CntrlV) in schematic of second page.

Note: I use local libraries and not CIS libraries.

If you need to use the exact same circuit you can also use the reuse ( As Eric suggested above) from different designs.  Very easy once you know how.  Note this is an old tutorial on reuse modules. The issue as I mentioned in my original post is specifically about copying from a schematic occurrence. This was NOT possible till now and EMA-EDA advises that only the latest hotfix S023 fixes this.

In my design the instance fields and the occurrences both copied.  But as stated I don't use the CIS libraries, I have my own unique ORCAD library files for all the parts I use and I am in 16.6.
