Extracting all elements from listbox

terrylau

I got a list box that I want to extract out all the fields in it - its a list box with OPTIONS sort. Using axlFormListGetItem() with a 0 and -1 will only get me the first and last element of the list field. How do I go about to be able to extract out all the fields? Appreciate any help as still kinda new to SKILL.

    Hi,

You could try testing what type tempStr is with the command "type(tempStr)" - this would determine once and for all the type of the object and hence also what you need to use for your fprintf statement.

%s should work for any string, so your tempStr must be something else - maybe a list? - in this case you may need to use

    • if( tempstr fprintf(TestForm "%s\n" nth(0 tempStr)))

Here nth(0 tempStr) pulls the first element of the list

    Hope this helps,

    Best regards,

    Ole

Dear guys, thanks for your help... the problem's solved with the  if( tempstr fprintf(TestForm "%s\n" tempStr)).

Looks like tempStr is a string after all. Thanks again and appreciate it very much.
