Does anyone know how to export libraries from a locked brd file?

Does anyone know if this still works? Looking for 16.6 file constraint.

    I don't think so...

I locked the database with the skill command (axlDBSetLock 'exports "disabled" 'password "_AaBbCcDdEeFfGgHh") & saved it to a new name

I was then able to dump the libraries & extract a techfile from the new board file without any issues

Thanks David. You locked one. But what would you do if you have a 'locked' database (not your personal .brd file) and needed to unlock it?

Then I think you are screwed, since in my testing it will not allow you to unlock a database that was locked, based upon the following error message:

\e (00:00:54) Cannot unlock a view lock design that has a password.

Looking at the 17.2 documentation for axlDBDelLock() I noticed the following note:

                     View locks cannot be unlocked.

Wouldn't you think they would also add that note to the axlDBSetLock() documentation?
