Venkata, not sure if this answers your question, but on the Ultraedit downloads site I was able to download the Cadence Allegro Skill "word" file for syntax highlighting...go to http://www.ultraedit.com/downloads/extras.html#wordfiles and click Cadence Skill

    Hi Varun,

I use "vim" from vim.org - it is based on 'vi' from the Unix world, but it has a graphical window that you can use the mouse in ('vi' commands are purely keyboard based, so this is a welcome improvement).  It also supports syntax highlighting and includes a built-in SKILL syntax mode (I'm not sure if it recognizes the axl prefix, for example, since I use it for the Custom IC SKILL functions. The same program is available on Linux and Unix, which is benificial if you code on more than one machine/platform.

    Best regards,

    Lawrence.
