How to keep your variables in the design?

Silver John

Hi, All.

I have a script that creates a form with several fields. I want to save the contents of these fields in design, and the next time when I open the design and launches the script I have already configured the form.

There are functions for including the file or string to .brd-file, there are functions for working with the properties of the design...

What is the best way to save my settings?

Maybe someone has an example code?

Thank you.

    As per the post http://www.cadence.com/Community/forums/p/19664/1293598.aspx#1293598

    You need to do a

        dataString = sprintf(nil " '%L" my_list)

to convert the disembodied property list back into a string before storing it back in the database.

    All,

What’s the maxim characters i.e. string length I can have in the variables?

I used property but they can store only limited length of characters. I need to store a lot of intersection points on the lines.

Example xy(2345.45:1236.55) like this about 100 points in a variable.

When I use property they gave me error after few entries.

    Thanks,
    Nagaraj.

I think, enough, for your purpose, try.
For example, my attachment is 209 characters.
It is also possible to attach a file...
