Deleting route Keepouts

Les Wong

Hi All:

When we delete route keepouts it takes a long time.

The same time as if we were manually deleting then in Allegro.

How can this be sped up ?

Thanks,

Les

    Hi Les! Try turning off drc, the turn back on when complete. axlDBControl('drcEnable nil)

    Can you give as sample of the code that selects and deletes the shapes? Might be a clue there to why it is taking so long.

    This is the code

    axlDBControl('drcEnable, nil)
    __rEportLogLoc1 = list()

    __rEportNetV2V = list()
    __IndErrLog = list()
    __runProcLog = list()

    startTime = getCurrentTime()
    __dEsignSymbols = unique( axlDBGetDesign()->symbols~>name)
    DsnRulesList = axlDBCloak('__getRules() 'shape)
    _tList = list()
    _tList = setof(a axlDBGetShapes("ROUTE KEEPOUT") a->prop->COMMENT)
    if(_tList then
    ;_tList = setof(a _tList rexMatchp("VOID_2PIN" a->prop->COMMENT) == t)
    axlDBCloak('axlDeleteObject(_tList) 'shape)
    ;axlDeleteObject(setof(a _tList rexMatchp("VOID_2PIN" a->prop->COMMENT ) ))
    )

    Just a shot in the dark but try commenting out the "if" statement that deletes the shapes. It may not be the action of deleting that is taking a long time. See how long it takes to execute the first part of the procedure.

    I tried deleting all of the route keepouts on a pretty large board, no filtering like you have for VOID_2PIN, and it is really fast.

    ro = axlDBGetShapes("ROUTE KEEPOUT")

    axlDeleteObject(ro)
