Skill code for effective width of power shape?

Hello,

Has anyone developed SKILL code to calculate the effective width of a power shape?

This would be useful for cases where the power shape needs to have a specific width such as 300mil to handle the proper current requirements, but there are vias that interrupt the shape that take away from the overall width making it maybe 200 mil in some areas instead.

The SKILL program would calculate the width of the power shape at these highly via populated areas and return the values in a text file or somehow highlight it on the board for the designer.

New to skill programming so if this something someone could help me write or write it for me that would be great!

Thanks
