How do I select the Vendor PN when placing a CIS part?

In CIS, multiple vendor parts can be added to a Manufacturer part.

However, there seems to be no way to specify which vendor part you would like to place/use. When the BOM is exported, it picks one vendor part (the first in the list?) to put in the Vendor Name/Vendor PN fields.

How do I specify the Vendor part?

In order to get multiple vendor information displayed in CIS database you can use the relational database. (Refer to "Setting Relational Database preferences" in the user manual - capture 17.4)

Once you have configured the relational table in your CIS (for example by the table name Vendor)  you can transfer all the vendor properties into BOM by setting up the CIS BOM dialog box as below:-

Like in my case, the properties starting with "Vendor" are coming from Relational table. If you set the check marks as above, you will be able to see all the available Vendor's part number for a single component in the CIS BOM.

Below links helped me understand the process in detail -

Thanks! I never knew what Max Rows did. It has always been set to 1.

Too bad I still have to edit the BOM to use only the distributor PN that I want, but I can live with that.
