Importing DXF file

 Hi everyone,

How can we import a DXF file in a .brd file? In other words, i have a dxf file from customer and have to import it like a board file. But while importing it shows some warnings and all information's are in only one class and subclass. How can i import a dxf file same as a board file?

Regards,

Shiva...

You need to set up the conversion file first.  If there's only one pen then you need to import to board geom-outline and you can move everything imported to other layers later.

Thanks Redwire. But i had tried by setting up conversion file. There is more than one pen and all are named by unknown names like 0,1,D,CL,ATTR etc. How can i set these for specified one, like footprint, pad etc? And as i tried in the imported file, all are in line class. When i try to move it, it will come one by one. Please suggest.

    Regards,

    Shiva...
