How do I create custom strokes in Allegro

blockst

I just had version 15.7 installed on my machine. I am accustomed to Mentor graphics design manager and would like to use \(up or down) instead of Z and W because they are quicker and more precise. How can I create these two strokes as custom strokes?

    Hi

To edit or add strokes go to tools - utilities - stroke editor and re-define your strokes.

If I understand your question you are looking to remap keys (Up/Dn) to cause zooming?  This is very easy as well instead of using strokes..

If you indeed want up and down as shortcuts for zoom in/out you need to edit your environment file to have

    funckey Up zoom in

    funckey Down zoom out.

    Best regards,

    Ole

I would like to map the stroke key to the middle mouse button and keep the right mouse button as a context menu. Is this possible?

The middle mouse button (or wheel) can be used for zooming and panning. I don't think you can map this to anything else.
