Translating Pads footprints into allegro

Hi,

I'm having trouble to import pads footprints into allegro.. So far I understand the pads_in.ini has to be located where the ascii file is to be translated...But i've also read that you have to add lines to that so allegro can map the layers properly..what are the lines that I have to add?.. because all I get are errors when i try to import my ascii file.
