Create a bloc of symbols routed together

Hello everybody,

I work on Cadence 14.0 and Cadence 16.2.

I would like to  create a block of symbols routed together and to use it in newer designs.

Do you know how to do it ?

     Try out Design Reuse feature.

    You can create Modules save them in library and then use them when required. 

    You need to go thru some documentation. Its available in cdsdoc.

    Thanks a lot but I understand why I didn't find yet modules creation. I have not the right license to do it. It requires XL license and I only have L license.

    Hello,

    In Allegro 16.3, the Place Replicate functionality has been improved to include routing (traces, vias, shapes) when generating the replica. In previous versions it only included placement.  Also the output format is now a Module Definition file (.mdd) which can be saved and reused on new designs.  This isn't a replacement for the Design Reuse functionality, as it is only a board level solution, but the .mdd files can be used with the Design Reuse flow as it is the same format.

    Read up on Placement Replication to see how it all works on Allegro 16.2 and when you move to Allegro 16.3 it will be that much easier to pick up the new functionality or more to Allegro 16.3 now.  The Place Replicate functionality is available on Allegro PCB Design L, XL and GXL only.  Note: This functionality was not available in Allegro 14.0.
