Plane problem when opening Sigxplorer

Hi,

When i try to click the "View Topology" button to access Sigxplorer from signal analysis dialog box, a warning says: "No reference plane is found for the trace to be extracted. The trace is being extracted as Microstripline just for topology viewing."

Why this happens? my layout cross section is common which have 6 layers of "SGSSPS".

Go to the Cross Section and check that you have at least one layer set to "Shield", that should clear the message. I think that the Setup Advisor may flag this as well.

    Hi, oldmouldy,

It works exactly as you say!  though I did not see Setup Advisor flag this.

    Thank you very much!
