OrCAD <-> Allegro incompatibility causes board DRC errors in OrCAD?

Hi, I open a board design file of one of NXP's SABRE boards with OrCAD PCB Designer (Standard). Then I immediately update the DRC report, and to my surprise, I get about 3700 DRC errors. NXP has done layout with Allegro. I wonder if there is some kind of incompatibility between the tools, causing huge number of DRC errors in OrCAD. Has anyone experienced something like this?

I'm using PCB Designer (Standard) v.17.2.021 now. With v.16.6 the number of DRCs was about 10000.

You probably get a warning when you open about license level.  This has always been an issue when a lower license opens a higher license board.  You can't see the setup (constraints) in the lower license and therefore you *will* get DRCs.

Standard Edition doesn't understand Constraint Regions, causing problems in my case. The local distributor verified that with Professional version there are no problems. I ordered an upgrade.

Just be ready to keep upgrading.  The next license (Allegro) has a HDI license add-on so when you try to open a board with those features under their specific DRC control you're going to get *those* errors and so on....
