Pin swap by pairs

archive
archive over 18 years ago

Hi:

I am using the ORCAD Capture - Allegro flow. I have a VertexIV FPGA, and lot of differential
pairs.  To sucessfully routed the PCB, those differential pairs have to be swapped. I don't
want pin-pin swap, since this is very easy to make mistakes. Does anybody have the idea
how can I get pair-pair swap in my design flow(with pair polarity) ? I cannot make many
homogeneous parts at schmatics side since this is not my job, it seems to me once I got this
by device file, but rightnow I keep getting error message. It will be very thankful if anybody
can give a hint on this.

Thank you in advance.

You are looking for 'function' swap which is well documented in the OrCAD and Allegro literature.
