SKILL scripts in Orcad PCB Designer

archive
archive over 17 years ago

Sorry if this is a newbie question, I've been using Orcad Layout for a while but now am transitioning to PCB Designer.  I've tried searching but didn't have any luck.

Can I use SKILL scripts in PCB Designer?  From the EMA website (www.ema-eda.com/.../pcbdesignerpspice.aspx) it claims that PCB Designer supports SKILL but if I type 'skill' at the command prompt I get an invalid command error message.

Thanks in advance...!

I believe it's similar to Allegro PCB Design L in that there's no skill development / debugger environment .. hence the error you are seeing. You should be able to run skill routines by including them in the "allegro.ilinit" file that loads during startup.

    Thanks,
    Dave
