What is the difference between a "project" and a "design"?

In PSPICE for TI 17.4, "File" - "New" - "Project" and "File" - "New" - "Design" appear to produce the same result: a <name>.DSN file, a <name>.OPJ file and a <name>-PSpiceFiles subdirectory.

The User Guide only mentions "File" - "New" - "Design" in connection with Design Entry HDL (which I don't expect to be using), but I couldn't find any explanation of the difference between a "design" and a "project", nor did I see any difference between the schematic editors presented by "File" - "New" - "Project" and "File" - "New" - "Design".

How does a "project" differ from a "design" in PSPICE?

A single DSN file is included in the project file. The "design cache" is included in the DSN or OLB, and other files are included in the project file as separate files or linked .
