Our previous post provided an overview of Live BOM. In this post, we shall cover the Live BOM User Interface.

When you open Live BOM, the first thing that you observe is the summary view of the BOM. The summary provides a quick information about:

  • Number of unique and total parts
  • Number of different manufacturers
  • Unique manufacturer part numbers
  • Lifecycle status of the parts used in the design
  • Part type – electrical or mechanical

Live BOM User Interface

The free text search option in Live BOM allows you to filter a desired part. You can also sort the Live BOM information using the column headers.

The lifecycle status of a part is an important parameter that designers consider while choosing a part. The Live BOM summary provides a quick glance of the lifecycle status of parts used in the design. You can also filter a part in Live BOM based on different lifecycle status.

The Show Expanded option displays each part in Live BOM in a separate row.
