DXF translation

Hello –
Anyone have any tips on importing text using dxf import? I’m trying to import a stackup detail and the lines come across but I lose my text.  Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi Bill,

    First Option:

Outputting the DXF file at the lowest possible version (12.0) will improve your chances of getting any DXF File to import.  (This is pretty much my standard process)

    Second Option:

Check the “Use default text table” option in the DXF Import Form sometimes helps and keeps the amount of text block sizes down.  It may allow the text to import but you may have to tweak/change to difference text blocks for the desired effect.

    Third Option:

Sometimes the DXF file has Block or group elements which can drive the translator crazy so I would open the DXF file in AutoCAD or a comparable tool to explode everything to single elements

    Hope this helps,
