One-Stop Pages on support.cadence.com

9 Mar 2021 • 2 minute read

This is intended for active users of Cadence Learning and Support. If you’re not a user yet, it’s easy to start! All academic users of Cadence software have the opportunity to access the support page. Students, please contact your professor to get approval for access; professors, either contact universityprogram@cadence.com or your academic distributor for details on how to get access to the platform.

Cadence Learning and Support offers plenty of information around Cadence products, like Rapid Adoption Kits, Cadence Online Trainings, TrainingBytes videos, product documentation, application notes and so much more. With that much content, material can be scattered across different sections, so it is hard to get an overview of all the material about a particular topic.

Help is here! Cadence Learning and Support offers topic related pages, where all the information about a single product is easier to find because it is summed up in one single page. For example, in order to get all support information about Cadence Clarity 3D Solver, you can now review the Explore the Clarity 3D Solver page. All Cadence products have similar pages, to get an overview of what’s available, visit the All Products page, or select from the drop down menu on the Cadence Learning and Support home page.

There are also topic related pages dedicated to design flows. I want to highlight a few that I think will be especially beneficial to our academic audience.

One example is the Cadence Photonics page. All resources related to photonics can be accessed from this single page!

Another notable example of design flow pages would be the Virtuoso EM-IR DSPF flow, which has been enhanced for analog and RF engineers interested in performing EM-IR analysis while staying wholly within the Virtuoso environment: Learn more about the Virtuoso EM-IR flow

And we can’t forget, Cadence System-Level Verification IP (System VIP), which takes the market leadership of Cadence in IP-level verification automation and brings it to the chip level. It consists of a suite of tools and libraries, each working seamlessly with Cadence’s simulation, emulation, and prototyping engines.

Cadence has also developed Functional Safety Documentation Kits for automotive customers to address the need for the classification of certain EDA tools. These kits ensure that Cadence tools will be dependable and function as intended, meeting safety goals even in the event of an unplanned or unexpected occurrence. These documentation kits have been reviewed by an internationally accredited independent third-party functional safety assessor, and a certification of that review has been made available for each of the six existing kits.

A good overview on the one stop pages is given in the “Product Page: All Product-Related Information and Knowledge Content in One Place” blog.

These are great resources for you to take advantage of, so, start exploring and expand your knowledge of Cadence technology!
