SPECTRE 19.1 ISR18, the last ISR of SPECTRE 19.1, was released on May 31st, 2021. What does this mean to you? This means that if you are still using the SPECTRE 19.1 release, you will not be able to access any new features or important enhancements made in Spectre. Instead, all the important bug fixes and enhancements will now be delivered only with the SPECTRE 20.1 ISR releases. Till date, seven SPECTRE 20.1 ISRs have been released after the SPECTRE 20.1 base release that was released on September 30th, 2020.
If you are using a SPECTRE 19.1 ISR release, we strongly recommend that you move to SPECTRE 20.1 to get the latest bug fixes and enhancements. Another important reason to move to SPECTRE 20.1 ISR releases is that they contain important incremental Spectre X updates and other technology enhancements that are not there in SPECTRE 19.1.Note that with each SPECTRE ISR release, we also publish the release slides that contain information about the new features and enhancements added in the release. You can find the SPECTRE ISR release slides on the Spectre product page on the Cadence Support portal.
