Virtuoso Studio IC23.1 ISR6 Now Available

Virtuoso Studio IC23.1 ISR6 production release is now available for download at Cadence Downloads. For information about supported platforms and other release compatibility information, see the README.txt file in the installation directory.

IC23.1 ISR6

Here's a list of the highlights from the Virtuoso Studio IC23.1 release:

  • Thermal Analysis in Reliability Setups (Virtuoso ADE Explorer, Virtuoso ADE Assembler)
    Use the Thermal option in the Reliability Analysis Editor form to run thermal simulations in reliability setups. Using this option, you can run thermal simulations, or thermal with aging co-simulations.
  • New Interactive DSPF View (Virtuoso ADE Explorer, Virtuoso ADE Assembler, Virtuoso Schematic Editor)
    Use the new and upgraded Quantus output format, the Cadence Quantus DSPF Interactive Output for Virtuoso Studio, also known as the Interactive DSPF (I-DSPF) view, for parasitic extraction and simulation. Quantus creates the Interactive DSPF view and its corresponding DSPF file at the same time. The key benefit of using this view is that it extends the visualization and interactive capabilities integrated with Virtuoso Studio without the need for any additional setup.
  • New diffsprobe Symbol in Analog Library (Virtuoso ADE Explorer, Virtuoso ADE Assembler, Virtuoso Schematic Editor)
    Use the new Analog Library symbol, diffsprobe, or the differential sprobe for measuring differential impedance using sprobe devices in the S-Parameter (sp) and Periodic S-Parameter (psp) analyses.
  • MaxResistance Design Intent (Virtuoso Schematic Editor)
    Use the Create Design Intent form to create a new maximum resistance design intent. This design intent type helps layout designers who use EAD to check max resistance between a point-to-point connection.
  • Port Generation in Blackboxed Cells (Virtuoso MultiTech)
    Use layout pins and their access direction for port generation in blackboxed cells.
  • Cutoff Port Generation (Virtuoso MultiTech)
    The cutoff port generation is now via-based, which uses the topmost layer as the cutoff layer to avoid losing any nets and helps save physical metal.
