Virtuoso Studio: Simplified Review of Operating Point Parameter Values

28 May 2024 • 2 minute read

Our new AI-powered custom design solution, Virtuoso Studio, leverages our 30 years of industry knowledge and leadership, providing innovative features, reimagined infrastructure for unrivaled productivity, and new levels of integration that stretch beyond classic design boundaries. In this blog series, learn how the best analog design tools just got better to help you keep pace with your challenging design issues.

Have you ever faced challenges in reviewing operating point parameter values for all the devices together? Did it always seem like a mammoth task to review these parameter values, especially for your large designs? Although you could use the back annotation feature on the schematic to see such values for devices, it only allowed you to view the operating point parameters for devices one by one.

We have some good news for you! Now, with the introduction of the Operating Point Parameters Summary window, you can view all parameter values for all devices at the same time. The new tabular format is highly effective and makes it a breeze to compare all the parameter values in the table.

You can bring up this window in Virtuoso ADE Assembler or ADE Explorer by choosing the Print - Operating Point Information command in the Results tab.

Surely, you must be curious to know about the benefits of using this tabular report in the Operating Point Parameters Summary window. Here are a few pointers to help you out:

  • Selection-based display of parameter values for different datasets
  • Display of specific corner and point information
  • Tabbed and categorized views for different devices
  • Sorting and filtering of parameter values
  • Cross-probing of devices on the schematic
  • Post-processing of tabulated results exported in CSV format
  • Setup of notation style and decimal digits to maintain data accuracy

The following screengrab highlights some of the major features of this window:
