Xvisio Is Helping Build the World a Metaverse

2 Feb 2023 • 1 minute read

Xvisio's slogan is "Innovating machine perception capability beyond human capacity." A cross-border technology startup, their expertise lies in visual simultaneous localization and mapping (vSLAM)-based core spatial technology for robotics and interaction technology. With the help of Cadence, they're providing the building blocks for the metaverse.

Xvisio's line of products

Xvisio offers two main product lines. The first one, the SeerSense, is a sensor fusion camera module system that can be used for robotics, AGV navigation, and even factory automation. The second product is SeerLens, an AR and VR headset that provides all the sensor fusion tasks required for AR devices. It's great for both work and entertainment, and it serves as a building block for anyone who wants to build their own AR device.

For their AR devices, Xvisio has been using Cadence's Tensilica Vision Q7 and Q8 DSPs as well as Xtensa SDKs. Tensilica DSPs being widely used by chip vendors, as well as the user-friendly development environment, is what incentivized Xvisio to use it in the first place. Because the efficient, unique, and high-quality Tensilica tools helped them effectively deploy the vSLAM technology, they're looking forward to using it for future development.
