Blogger of the Quarter Award -- Thanks!!!

Little did I know that when I accepted an innocent looking meeting propsal from my colleagues on the Blog Team I was destined to be the recipient of the quarterly Cadence blogger award today! 

The scene: this "meeting" turned out to have more attendees than I expected, where my colleagues on the blog team arrived with a whole cast of characters behind them -- my management, our internal Communications specialist, and the senior VP of Corporate Communications.  Crowding into my office, the group presented me with the following award in recognition of the growth of this blog, as well as for launching and coordinating the sleeper hit Team Specman blog:

Fortunately, I already had 2 cups of coffee in me, so after the initial surprise abated I was able to form full sentences of gratitude for those assembled.  Speaking of gratitide:

* I owe a debt of gratitude to YOU in the audience for tuning in to my regular posts, as well as the steady stream of technical material being served by Team Specman.  Thank you for your support!!!

* My colleagues in Corporate Marketing in general, and on the Cadence Web Team in specific, also deserve high praise for taking a chance in creating these blogs in the first place.  Long story short: we inside "The Factory", customers, and people in the EDA community are being enegerized by the both the new and ongoing connections that the blogs are creating.
