MemCon 2010, July 28: Time to Register. Hundreds already have!

21 May 2010 • 1 minute read
How’s your July shaping up? No, that’s not just an idle question about your future vacation plans. If you have anything to do with semiconductor memory--use it, make it, design with it, buy it, dream about it, etc--get out your calendar and reserve July 28 because that’s when MemCon 2010 takes place here in Silicon Valley. Although we’re not quite ready to post the agenda (real soon now, possibly as soon as next week), the lineup of speakers and panelists is looking really strong. As always, this year’s MemCon features speakers from major memory and system-level vendors who will discuss and dissect various timely topics about the past, present, and future of memory. This year, MemCon turns most of its gaze upon DRAM for several good reasons. There’s a lot happening to DRAMs at the moment as DDR3 starts to eclipse DDR2, as new interfaces start to challenge DDR3, and as the mobile and low-power markets start to ask if PC memory, which drives the DRAM industry, is appropriate for every application.

In addition to the individual speakers, there will be three expert-laden panels at MemCon that you do not want to miss. One panel covers future memory technologies (not just DRAM, we’re including panelists speaking for the aspiring usurper memory technologies); one panel covers future DRAM interfaces (we’re not all building PCs and servers, are we?); and a third panel gives the industry’s leading analysts--who follow semiconductor memory the way sports fans follow their favorite teams--a chance to predict, pontificate, and powwow.

More MemCon 2010 details to follow but now would be a good time to register for the event.

It’s free.

Hundreds have already registered.

So should you.
