Cadence Giving Foundation Awards 25 First-Generation Scholarships

Congratulations to the recipients of the 2025-2026 Cadence First-Generation Student Scholarship!

As we look toward the future of innovation and the technology industry, it's essential for the next generation to be ready to contribute to an ever-evolving workforce. This year, the Cadence Giving Foundation has partnered with Silicon Valley Community Foundation to offer the 2025-2026 Cadence First-Generation Student Scholarship Program. This initiative aims to empower eligible first-generation college students with a $5,000 scholarship, providing them with essential financial support as they pursue their educational goals, and we could not be more excited to award our latest cohort.

At Cadence, we're committed to building a culture that celebrates unique backgrounds, experiences, and ideas. Our internship program and relationships with universities are a critical part of our strategy to increase and foster a broad pipeline of talent. Understanding that first-generation college students often face unique challenges that can hinder their academic aspirations, our program aims to support them as they navigate higher education and map their future path.

The Cadence First-Generation Scholarship Program is designed to ease some of these roadblocks, allowing students to focus on their studies, internships, and personal growth. Said one student, “It's difficult to succeed alone... Moving forward, I will continue bridging this gap between complex technical knowledge and practical understanding through collaboration and shared learning.”

We are proud of the reach our scholarship programs continue to have, with this cycle’s finalists stretching to both coasts across the US, representing 20 different academic institutions. Each awardee is currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering. Recipients are selected based on their leadership skills, recognition of accomplishments, endorsements from professors, and drive to shape tomorrow’s world of technology. These talented students signify the importance of scholarships that support STEM education.
