We're Celebrating Black History Month with Our Employees

At Cadence, we're recognizing Black History Month by celebrating our employees, amplifying voices, and sharing stories that reflect what brings us together. This month, we're excited to hear from members of our Black Inclusion Group (BIG), who offer insights into how connection and community shape their workplace experience. They are highlighting the importance of creating spaces where employees can engage authentically, learn from one another, and allow their work to thrive. Read below to hear more on how engaging with employee resource groups fosters collaboration, strengthens our One Cadence – One Team culture, and supports innovation.

Being a member of the Black Inclusion Group has made a significant impact on me feeling connected and comfortable at Cadence. I enjoy our real and candid conversations and fun banter during meetings. I also have a lot of fun participating in cultural challenges and seeing who can actually play spades! Through this community, I've felt supported, heard, and empowered to be my authentic self at work. It's also given me the opportunity to meet new colleagues across the organization, build meaningful relationships, and gain perspectives that have positively shaped my experience at Cadence. Overall, my involvement has strengthened my level of engagement and desire to connect with others outside of my work group, and has even pushed me to grow as a contributor and advocate for Cadence as a workplace where everyone can thrive.

As a proud member of the Black Inclusion Group, I've been able to build meaningful, foundational relationships across Cadence that have enriched both my personal and professional journey. Cadence's inclusion groups create space for connection, support, and shared purpose, helping employees build community while celebrating perspectives that strengthen our culture. Through BIG, I've had the opportunity to volunteer, build bridges with others, and contribute to initiatives that matter, all while continuing to fulfill my responsibilities as Senior Global Social Media Lead. Being part of this group has deepened my sense of belonging and reinforced the power of inclusion in driving positive impact.

Since joining the Black Inclusion Group, I've gained a sense of community and connection that has truly enriched my experience at work. BIG has created space for me to show up authentically, collaborate with passionate colleagues, and contribute to initiatives that uplift and amplify voices across our organization.

Being part of this group has also encouraged me to step into moments that help accelerate our high-performance, inclusive culture. I've had the opportunity to participate in large events, including our virtual end-of-year celebrations that bring members at different sites together, and to establish our annual Juneteenth celebrations here in Austin, which is an effort that continues to grow in visibility and impact. In addition, we've begun hosting volunteer events that connect our team with the broader community.

These experiences have increased my perspective, strengthened my voice, and deepened my commitment to advancing empowerment in my daily work. BIG has been a constant source of encouragement and inspiration, and it's a place where I feel seen, valued, and supported. I can honestly say that it has been one of the most meaningful aspects of my Cadence journey.
