Podcast: PCB 3.0: SI/PI for PCB Designers

As younger PCB designers enter the workforce, design teams are looking for ways to empower the designer with more responsibility. “Shifting left” some of the signal and power integrity (SI/PI) analysis responsibilities is a natural choice, but today’s designers want easier-to-use tools before taking on such tasks.

How can we use new methodologies to more efficiently and quickly analyze the designs? How can analysis workflows within a design tool help make better decisions while designing? How will AI technology benefit PCB designers both early and late in the design cycle?

All those questions and more will be answered in I-Connect007’s “On the Line With…Cadence” podcast series “PCB 3.0: A New Design Methodology.” In Episode 4, titled “SI/PI for PCB Designers,” Cadence’s Brad Griffin discusses how an intelligent system design methodology can move some signal and power integrity decision-making into the physical design space, offering real-time feedback.
