IC Packagers: Dealing with Large Forms in Low Resolution Screens

3 Jun 2019 • Less than one minute read

Our packages and boards are becoming complex and so are the design tasks we perform and the tools that we use. Although ease of use is the mantra for all our UIs, sometimes a form ends up having too many elements to address the ever-increasing requirements. Thanks to the large screens we have in our offices, increasing UI size and elements do not bother us most of the time. But there are times when we must use our small laptops, say while travelling. Or even when we are not travelling, there may be many elements in a form that are not needed in a flow that we use almost all the time. Is there a way to reduce form size or remove unused elements from a frequently used form?

Tyler Lockman tells us how this can be done in a jiffy in his blog Minimum Screen Resolutions and Large Forms.
